I am a third-year PhD student in Computer Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara, advised by Prof. Daniel Lokshtanov. Before joining UCSB, I received my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mathematics from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune. I am fortunate to have been co-advised by Prof. Saket Saurabh and Prof. Soumen Maity for my Master's thesis.
I work broadly in theoretical computer science and graph theory. I am particularly interested in using structural graph theory to design efficient algorithms for computational problems, and conversely, in applying algorithmic techniques to prove structural properties of graphs. In addition to this, I have also worked on problems in computational geometry, which I find equally enjoyable.
Outside of research, I am passionate about mentoring and teaching, which I view as an important way of giving back to the community.
